Starry Night

Evening everyone

Well tonight I decided I would try some background blending, I have wanted to try out the Brightly Lit Christmas stamps and dies and though they would look lovely in some none traditional colours.

I started by picking out the blues and then thought they would look better in Wisteria Wonder, one of my favorite colours, but I needed to add a darker colour for the lamp and didn't want black.  I used the Elegant Eggplant to die cut the lamp and then cut it again in Glimmer paper.

It was a bit of a struggle getting those little pieces in but after a lot of cursing I managed it.  Think if I was to do this again I would just ink behind the lamps.

I started the sky with Soft Sky and then put the mask for the moon as I didn't want it too bright  before I started the Wisteria Wonder finally finishing the edges with Elegant Egg Plant.

I stamped the Lovely as a Tree in Smoky Slate and then stamped off for the lighter trees in the front.
I used Versa Mark for the starry swirl from the Star of Light stamp set and then used one of the sentiments in the Wisteria.  I did use a die from my stash for the hill in the front.

This is a larger card 7" x 5" and all in all I am very pleased with it.

Thanks as always for looking, all the products used are available in my shop, either through my blog or Facebook page.

ALL HEARTS COME HOME

Evening All,

Well this is a special card for me as I always travel home to Wales for Christmas, and it is definitely driving home for Christmas as it takes me just under 4 hours singing Christmas songs all the way.

I have made this card using the Hearts come Home bundle, but I actually used a die I had in my stash to change up the word home.

I die cut the houses, and used the Cherry Cobbler blend to colour the doors, I them stamped the sentiment and cut it into smaller pieces and outlined them with the smaller end of the pen.

The die I used from my stashed was cut out with Glimmer paper.  the back ground card stock I scored on the score board and then added the Be Merry DSP inside the score lines.

Polar Express SVG project

Evening all

A different project today, I have used my cameo and a file from @svgcuts - I have been wanting to make this for a while for a Christmas Decor.  The actual train and the Caboose are boxes that you can put battery operated tealights in or you can put sweets or presents.

I have made this using Cherry Cobler and Garden Green card stock with the Be Merry DSP.

I loved doing this project, and can't wait to see my grandsons faces, when its full of little presents for them.

The train is too large to get all in one photo.

Little Eskimo

Morning Friends,

Today I have been using the Cookie Cutter stamp set and the Merry Little Christmas DSP.  I was looking for inspiration on how to use the check paper and found on pinterest a sketch, which is not something I use very often, but  I have to say I could become addicted to them.  Thanks to all who post these.

I stamped the image in Memento and used the sketch markers to colour him, then I used a Versa Mark pen so I could heat emboss the fir in white,

The sentiment is from the Ready for Christmas stamp set, which I haven't used yet.  Got to love weekends, when it's raining and too cold to go out.  I embossed the white tag layer with the softly falling folder and finished everything off by adding Wink of Stella over his outfit and all the trees on the paper, and a few rhinestones.

As Always thanks for taking the time to look at my blog.

RUDOLPH

Evening All

Friday again, wow where is the time going, another week closer to Christmas.....

Tonight I have made a cute card using the Seasonal Chums, love this set, as a stand along or tags -  this little image leant itself to the wonderful papers, and again those gorgeous foil snowflakes.

Not your usual combination for a Christmas card, but I love them Black, Red and Gold very Regal.
I embossed the sentiment and used the Stitched Oval Framelits, an absolute must have for your collection.

I also used the lovely washi tape, not usually my go to but think I could get use to these as the colours in the pack are great.

I coloured the image using the Stamping Blends also adding a gold gel pen for the bell, and a few more dots on his back.

As always thanks for looking, and don't forget all these wonderful products can be purchased in my online shop.

MY ESSENTIALS

I just thought I would take a moment and put together some of the things that I use on a daily basis, and to be perfectly honest could not do without. Every crafter has their own preference and it has to be said that quality outweighs price in my opinion.

Making an investment in something you love , which will last the test of time is a no brainer for me.

Hope some of you feel the way I do about you essential tools

Evening All

Well have had a busy evening crafting, my 3rd card for tonight is made with the wonderful Smitten Mitten stamps and matching dies.

I love this set as it is so versatile you can do almost any colours to suit.

I have used Soft Sky and Crumb Cake, with a Whisper White Layer.  I first cut the mittens and them ran them through the Cable Knit Embossing folder.  For the White Layer I put that through the Softly Falling embossing folder.

I used the embossing dies that are in the set for the cuffs and finished it off with a piece of Jute.

Painted Harvest

Yay, I finally got my stamp set and it is absolutely gorgeous.  I couldn't wait any longer so I made a card tonight using the set and had an idea to emboss the stamp with copper embossing powder.

I used a standard Whisper White bard base, and a Cajun Craze layer which I stamped the sentiment on.

I used another Whisper white layer and stamped the first layer in Cajun Craze then the second with versa mark and heat embossed it with the copper.  For the center I used the Chocolate Chip which I stamped off first.

For the bow I used the lovely Peekaboo Peach seam binding and a piece of the  copper trim.

Candle Box

Morning All

Well have had the worse chest infection which has put me out of action for 3 weeks, but on the mend now, so I thought I would make a box for a candle that I bought some time ago.  It is for a friend who loves succulents, so I had to make this with the gorgeous papers that are now retired, but as I love them so much needed to use them.

I made the box using Wild Wasabi card stock, the measurements are

BASE BOX:  8" x 4"   - on the long side scored at 1/2"  3 3/4"  4 1/4"  7 1/2 "
on the short side scored at 1/2" and 3 1/2"

I cut out a circle that fits my candle

WRAP:  115/8" x 3 1/2"  score on the long side at 2 11/16"  7 1/16"  10 3/16"

DSP: 3 1/4 x 5/8"     3 1/4 x 4 1/8"    3 1/4" x 2 1/2"

I glued the base box inside the wrap and then cut out an Oval to make my label, I also heat embossed the sentiment with white and added a little bow.  The sentiment is also from an older set called Really Good Greeting.

I used a little magnet for the closure, can fussy cut one of the flowers from the DSP to hide it.

I took the idea from lots of inspiration on Pinterest and You Tube and used my own measurements to accommodate my little candle.

Thanks as always for looking.

Afternoon crafty friends

A little card to go with the box created yesterday using the At Home with You stamps and framelits.

I embossed the Cherry Cobbler card with the Pinewood Planks embossing folder.

I stamped the images in Sahara Sand and coloured them using markers.

Christmas Box

Hi all after being asked a few times I have posted the measurements for the box and lid.

Thanks you to all

The Lid is a piece of card or DSP cut at 6 1/16th scored on all sides at 1 5/8th

The base of the box is a piece of card cut at 11 x 8  scored on the long side at 2 5/8th  5 1/4  7 7/8th and 10 1/2 inches

Score on the short side at 2"

I used the At Home framlet which I cut out in Whisper white and then stamped the little images.  I the stamped the door in Early Espresso on Garden Green then cut it out, I fixed both door frames together and adhered them to the front of the box.

Christmas Box

Morning All

Today I have been creating some nice easy boxes for small presents.  I love great wrapping and am so looking forward to ordering some of the new products in the seasonal catalogue.... there is nothing nicer to me than having great packaging for Christmas gifts............  all adds to the excitment don't you think?

I have used Cherry Cobber card and some of the lovely Be Merry DSP for the lid.

I also used the gorgeous double stitched ribbon on the lid.

I hadn't used the wonderful At Home Stamps and matching Framelits and thought this would make a wonderful embellishment on the box.  My first thought was to actually cut it out of the box and add acetate, but I ran away with myself and forgot to do that..............  still there are always more boxes to make.

I stamped n Whisper White and then used the Garden Green marker to add some accents to the stamped images.

Hope you like my new project

Hang your Stocking

Afternoon crafty friends

Well today was another Christmassy afternoon, I decided to make something a bit different so created a hanging shadow box, using the Hang your Stockings Framlits, and some of the gorgeous double stitched ribbon.

The frame was created using a 12 x 12 piece of Real Red card stock, I decided to stamp the background and also add the ribbon before putting it all together, there are so many wonderful tutorials on you tube.

I used 3 stamp sets - Colorful Seasons, Hang your Stocking and also Oh, what Fun for the back ground the sentiment is from Oh What Fun and I used the Lots of Labels framelits.
The stockings were cut from Real Red and Tranquil Tide and I used Glimmer paper for the overlays, I put the swirl cut out and the snowflake to embellish the top of the stockings.

I also heat embossed the the swirl line with gold.

As always hope you like my project, thanks for looking

Just for You

Hello crafty friends,

This evening I have finally been able to play with the Bundle of Love DSP

WOW !!!!!!

These papers are absolutely GORGEOUS, I was stuck for a while wondering what to make, so I came up with this little card and matching milk carton.

I have used the Watercolor Words for the card which I stamped in Versamark and heat embossed with gold embossing powder.  I stamped the lovely heart from the set using Pool Party which I first stamped off to get a more subtle look.

The card is very simple just a piece of DSP and a gold panel with a Very Vanilla panel on top.  I stamped the heart again on the inside of the card.

The milk carton is made from the DSP and I used the Sweet & Sassy Framelits for the sentiment, which comes from the Jars of Love stamp set.

As always, all the products to make this projects can be purchased from my online shop.

Evening Crafty Friends,

Well tonight I decided to make a small box using the Gift Bag Punch Board, I love coffee and so do some of my family especially my son, so I made this little box to gift him some of his favorite beans,

I have used the wonderful Coffee Cafe bundle.

I used the larger coffee cup die to create a window in the front of the box (you can't really see it on camera) and added some acetate behind it.  Fussy cut some of the papers to decorate and added some of the gorgeous copper ribbon and some twine to decorate the front..
