Xmas Canvas

Afternoon

Well have been getting quite festive over the weekend, as some of you know I have been at sea for the last 14 years and have very rarely in that time been home for Xmas, now with it approaching quickly I suddenly thought to myself, I do not have any Xmas decorations at all.................  AARRGGG not even a tree.

So a shopping I will go but decided well I should really make my own as well, so I decided to do a large canvas which I have had in my stash for ages.

The canvas is 20" x 20" I first covered it with Gesso and then added some embossed areas with stencils and modelling paste, then gave it another coat with the gesso.

I used some wooden snowflakes which i covered with Wink of Stella glitter pen.

and of course a bow

I added the Silhouette cut out and decided I needed just a bit of colour behind so I washed out some Tim Holtz Fire brick nearly just to water. - I think inked the edges and used some twine for decoration.

Hope you like it

thanks for looking and I appreciate any comments.

Tree Box Card

Afternoon all

Incredible Journey

Good Morning All

Just thought I would share my latest mini with you - it is 9x6 and was made for a family member who is pregnant, so she can record her journey through to her bundle of joy (not sure what the sex is but this is about her)

I used my cameo for the cut outs an each page is the same has plenty of pockets so she can keep all her memorabilia in there from hospital visits, scan print outs and all her journaling, as to what happened and when.

I used bazzil basic black and white card stock and the papers are from EYE CANDY by GCD Studios.

I used a cut out from the Cameo for the balloon which I covered in glossy accents.

The pages are all from a design by Superhappy scrapper.

I tried to keep it as plain as possible for the journal tags which are just 4x2 scares and the scallop corners using the chomper.

Hope you like it and would love to hear your comments.

Thanks again for looking.

My Card with the silhouette

Well evening all,

I have been rather busy of late running around the country visiting friends and family and then working full time, so now at last I have some time to try out my new machine.

A couple of cards made with the Silhouette, I just love this design program there is no end to what I can do now.
the first card is a Xmas one I ended up cutting out the words and snowflake to put on a card but in the end decided I liked the cut out better and used that on foam tape.  Now I have the words for another card thrifty crafting..... doesn't get any better than that.

I even managed to make a customized envelope on my Crafters Companion board.

I just used a piece of patterned paper and a Spellbinders label that I stamped on.

A close up of the front, oh and of course have to have Stickles for Xmas.

Hope you like it

Thanks for looking.
