Well have had a busy evening crafting, my 3rd card for tonight is made with the wonderful Smitten Mitten stamps and matching dies.
I love this set as it is so versatile you can do almost any colours to suit.
I have used Soft Sky and Crumb Cake, with a Whisper White Layer. I first cut the mittens and them ran them through the Cable Knit Embossing folder. For the White Layer I put that through the Softly Falling embossing folder.
I used the embossing dies that are in the set for the cuffs and finished it off with a piece of Jute.
Yay, I finally got my stamp set and it is absolutely gorgeous. I couldn't wait any longer so I made a card tonight using the set and had an idea to emboss the stamp with copper embossing powder.
I used a standard Whisper White bard base, and a Cajun Craze layer which I stamped the sentiment on.
I used another Whisper white layer and stamped the first layer in Cajun Craze then the second with versa mark and heat embossed it with the copper. For the center I used the Chocolate Chip which I stamped off first.
For the bow I used the lovely Peekaboo Peach seam binding and a piece of the copper trim.
From a very rainy Doncaster, not good as this time last week I was in sunny heaven in Lanzarote.
Back at it now though.
Today I have created a box to go with some candles I bought, which I though would make lovely gifts for Xmas or a December birthday I love the scented Christmas Candles ab=nd what better than gingerbread.
I have used the gorgeous Year of Cheer DSP for the lid and a Crumb Cake base.
I also used Merry Little Labels stamp and punch, and the Foil Snowflakes.
I also punched out a to and from label using just crumb cake card stock.
As always thanks for looking hope you like this new project
Well have had the worse chest infection which has put me out of action for 3 weeks, but on the mend now, so I thought I would make a box for a candle that I bought some time ago. It is for a friend who loves succulents, so I had to make this with the gorgeous papers that are now retired, but as I love them so much needed to use them.
I made the box using Wild Wasabi card stock, the measurements are
BASE BOX: 8" x 4" - on the long side scored at 1/2" 3 3/4" 4 1/4" 7 1/2 "
on the short side scored at 1/2" and 3 1/2"
I cut out a circle that fits my candle
WRAP: 115/8" x 3 1/2" score on the long side at 2 11/16" 7 1/16" 10 3/16"
DSP: 3 1/4 x 5/8" 3 1/4 x 4 1/8" 3 1/4" x 2 1/2"
I glued the base box inside the wrap and then cut out an Oval to make my label, I also heat embossed the sentiment with white and added a little bow. The sentiment is also from an older set called Really Good Greeting.
I used a little magnet for the closure, can fussy cut one of the flowers from the DSP to hide it.
I took the idea from lots of inspiration on Pinterest and You Tube and used my own measurements to accommodate my little candle.
A little card to go with the box created yesterday using the At Home with You stamps and framelits.
I cut the door twice once on Crumb Cake card and then on the Wood Textures DSP I cut out the door portion at glued it to the frame. I also used a scrap of Daffodil delight behind the windows, and added a few brush strokes in Smokey Slate.
I embossed the Cherry Cobbler card with the Pinewood Planks embossing folder.
I stamped the images in Sahara Sand and coloured them using markers.
Hi all after being asked a few times I have posted the measurements for the box and lid.
Thanks you to all
The Lid is a piece of card or DSP cut at 6 1/16th scored on all sides at 1 5/8th
The base of the box is a piece of card cut at 11 x 8 scored on the long side at 2 5/8th 5 1/4 7 7/8th and 10 1/2 inches
Score on the short side at 2"
I used the At Home framlet which I cut out in Whisper white and then stamped the little images. I the stamped the door in Early Espresso on Garden Green then cut it out, I fixed both door frames together and adhered them to the front of the box.
Today I have been creating some nice easy boxes for small presents. I love great wrapping and am so looking forward to ordering some of the new products in the seasonal catalogue.... there is nothing nicer to me than having great packaging for Christmas gifts............ all adds to the excitment don't you think?
I have used Cherry Cobber card and some of the lovely Be Merry DSP for the lid.
I also used the gorgeous double stitched ribbon on the lid.
I hadn't used the wonderful At Home Stamps and matching Framelits and thought this would make a wonderful embellishment on the box. My first thought was to actually cut it out of the box and add acetate, but I ran away with myself and forgot to do that.............. still there are always more boxes to make.
I stamped n Whisper White and then used the Garden Green marker to add some accents to the stamped images.
