Evening Crafty Friends

Well I finally have time to do some new makes and get it onto my blog, have been so busy lately.

I have made a box card all in one, for some tea lights using the wonderful Petal Garden DSP.

I used some washi tape from my own stash to wrap around the tea light which matched the Old Olive card stock.

The box opens both ends, there are some wonderful tutorials on You Tube for this type of box.

Candle Box

Morning All

Well have had the worse chest infection which has put me out of action for 3 weeks, but on the mend now, so I thought I would make a box for a candle that I bought some time ago.  It is for a friend who loves succulents, so I had to make this with the gorgeous papers that are now retired, but as I love them so much needed to use them.

I made the box using Wild Wasabi card stock, the measurements are

BASE BOX:  8" x 4"   - on the long side scored at 1/2"  3 3/4"  4 1/4"  7 1/2 "
on the short side scored at 1/2" and 3 1/2"

I cut out a circle that fits my candle

WRAP:  115/8" x 3 1/2"  score on the long side at 2 11/16"  7 1/16"  10 3/16"

DSP: 3 1/4 x 5/8"     3 1/4 x 4 1/8"    3 1/4" x 2 1/2"

I glued the base box inside the wrap and then cut out an Oval to make my label, I also heat embossed the sentiment with white and added a little bow.  The sentiment is also from an older set called Really Good Greeting.

I used a little magnet for the closure, can fussy cut one of the flowers from the DSP to hide it.

I took the idea from lots of inspiration on Pinterest and You Tube and used my own measurements to accommodate my little candle.

Thanks as always for looking.

At Home with You

Afternoon crafty friends

A little card to go with the box created yesterday using the At Home with You stamps and framelits.

I cut the door twice once on Crumb Cake card and then on the Wood Textures DSP  I cut out the door portion at glued it to the frame.  I also used a scrap of Daffodil delight behind the windows, and added a few brush strokes in Smokey Slate.

I embossed the Cherry Cobbler card with the Pinewood Planks embossing folder.

I stamped the images in Sahara Sand and coloured them using markers.

Christmas Box

Hi all after being asked a few times I have posted the measurements for the box and lid.

Thanks you to all

The Lid is a piece of card or DSP cut at 6 1/16th scored on all sides at 1 5/8th

The base of the box is a piece of card cut at 11 x 8  scored on the long side at 2 5/8th  5 1/4  7 7/8th and 10 1/2 inches

Score on the short side at 2"

I used the At Home framlet which I cut out in Whisper white and then stamped the little images.  I the stamped the door in Early Espresso on Garden Green then cut it out, I fixed both door frames together and adhered them to the front of the box.

Hope this helps...

Christmas Box

Morning All

Today I have been creating some nice easy boxes for small presents.  I love great wrapping and am so looking forward to ordering some of the new products in the seasonal catalogue.... there is nothing nicer to me than having great packaging for Christmas gifts............  all adds to the excitment don't you think?

I have used Cherry Cobber card and some of the lovely Be Merry DSP for the lid.

I also used the gorgeous double stitched ribbon on the lid.

I hadn't used the wonderful At Home Stamps and matching Framelits and thought this would make a wonderful embellishment on the box.  My first thought was to actually cut it out of the box and add acetate, but I ran away with myself and forgot to do that..............  still there are always more boxes to make.

I stamped n Whisper White and then used the Garden Green marker to add some accents to the stamped images.

Hope you like my new project

Hang your Stocking

Afternoon crafty friends

Well today was another Christmassy afternoon, I decided to make something a bit different so created a hanging shadow box, using the Hang your Stockings Framlits, and some of the gorgeous double stitched ribbon.

The frame was created using a 12 x 12 piece of Real Red card stock, I decided to stamp the background and also add the ribbon before putting it all together, there are so many wonderful tutorials on you tube.

I used 3 stamp sets - Colorful Seasons, Hang your Stocking and also Oh, what Fun for the back ground the sentiment is from Oh What Fun and I used the Lots of Labels framelits.
The stockings were cut from Real Red and Tranquil Tide and I used Glimmer paper for the overlays, I put the swirl cut out and the snowflake to embellish the top of the stockings.

I also heat embossed the the swirl line with gold.

As always hope you like my project, thanks for looking

Just for You

Hello crafty friends,

This evening I have finally been able to play with the Bundle of Love DSP

WOW !!!!!!

These papers are absolutely GORGEOUS, I was stuck for a while wondering what to make, so I came up with this little card and matching milk carton.

I have used the Watercolor Words for the card which I stamped in Versamark and heat embossed with gold embossing powder.  I stamped the lovely heart from the set using Pool Party which I first stamped off to get a more subtle look.

The card is very simple just a piece of DSP and a gold panel with a Very Vanilla panel on top.  I stamped the heart again on the inside of the card.

The milk carton is made from the DSP and I used the Sweet & Sassy Framelits for the sentiment, which comes from the Jars of Love stamp set.

As always, all the products to make this projects can be purchased from my online shop.

Evening Crafty Friends,

Well tonight I decided to make a small box using the Gift Bag Punch Board, I love coffee and so do some of my family especially my son, so I made this little box to gift him some of his favorite beans,

I have used the wonderful Coffee Cafe bundle.

I used the larger coffee cup die to create a window in the front of the box (you can't really see it on camera) and added some acetate behind it.  Fussy cut some of the papers to decorate and added some of the gorgeous copper ribbon and some twine to decorate the front..

Christmas in July

This year seems to be running away with us, however as a reminder SU has the Christmas in July... which at 6am this morning I was telling myself no I need a lie in.............  ITs SUNDAY...

Well that lasted all of 15 minutes and I ended up finishing this project.

I have used a standard card in both Cherry Cobbler and the new Tranquil Tide, onto this this I have embossed a white panel with the absolutely gorgeous Cable Knit embossing folder.
I cut out a matching Oval Stitched framelit (largest one) and used Tombow to attach it to the embossed layer.

As I am eagerly waiting for the new Autumn Catalog I used the only stamp set I have which is the Hang your Stocking and the matching framelits.  I cut out the top, heel and toes with some glimmer paper.

After doing the cards I needed something more so I went through You-Tube :-) and cam across Angelina's (@Intertwyne Designs) and followed the wonderful tutorial for the box, and then also made the tags.

The double stitched ribbon finished off the project wonderfully.

Thanks as always for looking.

Just Breathe............

Morning everyone

A new post today featuring the Colour Theory DSP, I followed a tutorial from Heidi Smith (You Tube) to create this beautiful little diamond shaped box, using Dapper Denim, just perfect for a small birthday present or chocolates.  This would even be fab for small Christmas gifts such as costume jewelry.

I used the stamp from Beautiful bouquet that says "I couldn't have picked a better friend than you"  and I stamped and die cut one of the smaller flowers. I also used the 3/8" ruched ribbon.

I created the card, again using the same DSP but switched to the Colorful Seasons stamp set and that wonderful saying.  I finished it off with the scalloped die and some of the glitter dots that match the colors of the set.

Hope you like it and thanks as always for looking.

4 x 4 Box and Cards

Afternoon all, well my grandsons are set up in the craft room and I can now finish my little project.  I have been making 4 x 4 cards and thought I would make a sweet little box for them.

I have used the Oh So Eclectic Stamps, Dies and DSP - Love this set.

The box is a tutorial from Anne Melvin, thank you. - www.annshappystampers.co.uk

I love this set and the papers are gorgeous, using all of the colours together I thought they came out really well.

I also used the die with the same coloured card as a tone on tone but the effect was really stunning .

The colours used : Peekaboo Peach, Night of Navy, Lemon Lime Twist, Berry Burst, Fresh Fig and Soft Sky

Make a Wish

Evening friends and crafters, tonight I thought I would try out the gift bag punch board.  I make this card with the Lemon Lime Twist DSP and card stock, which if you have seen my earlier posts know I am in love with this colour.  I used the Lemon Lime twist and Sahara Sand ink pads.

The Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set for the sentiment  was a great choice to go with the stamps in the Balloon Celebrations, all cut out using the matching punch.

A lovely little set for someone I think.

As always thanks for looking
